The therapy hour is 50 minutes and the fee is payable at time of service.

Please be prepared to pay at your session.  I do not mail bills to clients. I accept cash, checks and credit cards.

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee assistance plan.  I am a preferred provider with a number of insurance companies which typically means you will have to pay only your copayment and deductible (if any) at our session — I will take care of the billing for you.

If I am NOT a provider for your health insurance, you can pay in full at the time of your session and I will take care of the billing for you, or provide an invoice you can submit for reimbursement.

Even though I contact your insurance plan, I recommend you also contact your plan and get details about your coverage. This will help you make informed decisions related to your care.

Cancellation Policy
I put aside your scheduled appointment time for you, and cannot bill your insurance for a missed session.  Therefore, if you do not show up for an appointment or cancel without 24 hours notice, you will be required to pay for your session.

If I am a preferred provider for your insurance plan, the “full cost” may be your preferred provider discounted amount.

School Problems
Career Transitions

Fees for these services are based on the service provided for the following reasons:

  • Sessions are longer than the standard therapy hour.
  • Services do not manage any underlying emotional or mental health problems.
  • The approach is problem and solution-focused and addresses a specific problem with a precise action plan.

To schedule a free 15 minute telephone consultation to determine which service is right for, you can call me at (650) 485-3624.

There are distinct differences between Psychotherapy and services for Hypnotherapy, Career Transitions, School Problems, and Learning Disabilities.

Psychotherapy is a healthcare service designed to diagnose and treat mental health and relationship issues. The focus is on the root causes and understanding deeper issues of problems. A formalized treatment contract and written consent for treatment are required and the fee is based on a 50 minute therapy hour.
